Arper

Arper was established in the late 1980s and right from the outset has understood the requirements of a rapidly evolving market and the need to distinguish its products with innovative, exclusive designs for both domestic furniture and contract supplies.

This led Arper to embark on years of experimentation in which it expanded its product range with new types of seating made from innovative materials such as aluminium and polypropylene, using advanced production techniques.

The late 1990s saw a milestone for the company, with the start of an important collaboration with the Lievore, Altherr and Molina studio. This led to the creation of the Duna, Oasi, Masai and Ston ranges and later on to Catifa, Palm and Leaf and the Dizzie and Eolo tables. These collections are prime examples of intelligent, clean design with soft, sensuous lines.

Most Popular Arper Products

Catifa 53 and 46

Sleek profile with a crisp, casual efficiency and made for both residential and contract use, indoors and out, the Catifa shell and base are fabricated in a diverse range of materials, colors and finishes.

The shell is constructed in double-curved plywood, mono or bi-color polypropylene (an exclusive process pioneered by Arper), covered in leather or fabric or finished with upholstered pads. The base comes in chrome-finish steel, satin-finish stainless steel, aluminum or powder-coated aluminum, and is available in the following base configurations: sled, four-legs in tube, aluminum trestle and five-star. The sled and four-leg bases are stackable to allow for large-scale use and storage. Catifa 46 is also available as a stool.
